ShiftledgerDemo

Terms

Version 2026-09-22. A ticket records the version that was on screen when it was sent, so agreeing to these is agreeing to what you actually read.

What this is

Shiftledger is a personal tool for recording the shifts you worked and seeing what they are worth. It is run by an individual, not a company, and it is not payroll, tax, legal or investment software.

This is a demo version. It is kept running rather than switched off between changes, and it gains features over time — so screens will change, and things that are not here yet may well be later.

Every figure it shows is an estimate calculated from rules you configure. It is not advice, and it is not a statement of what you are owed. Check anything that matters against your payslip and your contract.

Your data is yours

Your hours, wages and savings belong to your account and are scoped to it by the database itself. No role and no tier in this application grants anybody a way to read them, and there is no screen that would.

Signing in with Google shares your name, e-mail address and profile picture with this application. Nothing is written back to your Google account.

Contributions

Pro, Pro+ and Lifetime are granted by hand by whoever administers this instance. There is no subscription, no card on file and no automatic renewal — nothing in this application can charge you.

Pro and Pro+ last one month from the moment they are granted, and then the account returns to Free. Nothing renews on its own: open another ticket when you want to carry on. Lifetime does not lapse.

Because this is a personal project and not a business, a contribution is sent through PayPal as Friends and Family. That means no seller fees, and it also means PayPal's Purchase Protection does not apply. Send only what you are comfortable sending.

A contribution is voluntary and is not a purchase. Access is granted once the contribution is seen, at the discretion of whoever administers this instance, and may be refused — in which case nothing is taken and nothing changes.

Refunds are handled person to person, not through a payment provider's dispute process. Ask on the ticket and it will be dealt with.

Access can change

A tier decides which features are open to you. Losing a tier never deletes anything you recorded — saved work stays exactly where it is and becomes reachable again if the tier is granted again.

An account can be switched off if it is used to abuse the instance or anybody on it. That stops it signing in; it does not delete what it recorded.

Where this is going

This instance is meant to keep running and to keep growing. Features are added over time, and what gets built next is partly decided by what people ask for — open a ticket from Contact and say what you want to see. Proposals go into the same queue as everything else and are read.

Because it is a demo version, screens and figures can change between visits as things are improved. Nothing you recorded is changed by that: your hours, wages and savings are yours, and a change to the application does not rewrite them.

It is still offered as it is. To the extent the law allows, nobody running this instance is liable for any loss arising from using it, and it is worth keeping your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
